VINCI Energies UK & RoI recently hosted its Sharing Success Seminar, a fantastic event showcasing the incredible talent working across our network. The event also presented an opportunity to reflect on a strong year for the company and look ahead to what’s in store for 2018. VINCI Energies UK & RoI Communications Manager, Bruno Seguin gives us a taster of his favourite bits from the day.

“Sharing Success Seminar 2018 was the biggest we’ve ever held. VINCI Energies employees from all over the UK and Republic of Ireland descended on Coventry to share each other’s successes over the past year and to hear about the exciting plans we have for the next 12 months.

For me, the best part of our annual Sharing Success Seminar is the ability of everyone in the group to come together and network with one another. Our decentralised, network of Business Units is our major strength, and events such as the Sharing Success Seminar provide the opportunity to forge and strengthen relationships, exchange business intelligence, expertise and experience. Thus, enabling us to constantly add value to our customers.

That’s also why we made sure to celebrate the addition of new members to the VINCI Energies family last year – Meldrum Ltd., QSI Group, and Cougar Automation – as well as Kelvin Power in February this year. It’s important to me and to everyone in our network that our newest additions feel as valued and supported as the longest serving members of the VINCI Energies group.”

A strong performance across the board

“2017 has, once again, been a great year for VINCI Energies UK & RoI in terms of our financial performance. However, a company is much more than just financial results, this is why financial performance only represented a small part of the Sharing Success Seminar. The focus of the day was essentially on “how” and “who” contributed to our overall success.

One of the best things about Sharing Success is the awards that we give to those employees that we believe have really gone the extra mile. Whether it’s outstanding commitment to safety in the workplace, mentoring new talent or volunteering with the VINCI UK Foundation, the people that really live and breathe the VINCI Energies values deserve a special recognition.

So one of my favourite moments of the day was when we praised our 2018 award winners.”
